Prenatal Medical Therapeutic Yoga
Hello yogi-mamas!
I’m thrilled to be teaching a Prenatal Medical Therapeutic Yoga (MYT) class starting October 24th!
If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, my name is Roma and I’m a physio-yogi at OC3! As a yoga lover, I’m passionate about guiding my clients to a deeper level of healing and prevention through mindful movement.
I chose to study Medical Therapeutic Yoga (MTY) because of its one-of-a-kind evidence-based teaching for medical professionals who all share a foundation of knowledge in the human body. The training combines modern research in anatomy, biomechanics, physiology and eastern medicine to create a safe and sustainable practice that will evolve and grow with you!
Why do yoga during pregnancy?
Pregnant women who practice yoga :
- Improve their labour and delivery outcomes
- Reduce their perceived pain, stress, anxiety sleep disturbances
- Lessen their risk of premature birth, and
- Enjoy shorter labor duration
