A joint that is lacking proper movement can contribute to pain and dysfunction of the surrounding muscles, nerves, bones and ligaments. A Chiropractic manipulation (or “adjustment”) is a non-invasive manual treatment technique aimed at restoring movement to an affected joint. Chiropractic adjustments rarely cause any discomfort and have been proven safe and effective within the research for a number of musculoskeletal disorders
Chiropractors examine, diagnose and treat conditions related to spine, muscles, nerves and joints of the extremities. Chiropractors are trained in a number of treatment techniques including joint manipulation, soft tissue (muscle) therapy, exercise based rehabilitation, nutrition and acupuncture, among others. Our team of Chiropractors will decide which treatment techniques are appropriate for each condition we treat, and chiropractic manipulations are not always a part of this treatment approach. When a manipulation is required as part of a treatment approach, our Chiropractors will modify the strength and type of adjustment in order accommodate each patient’s specific condition.
