Catherine Hachigian, BAA, RMT, Certified Pilates Instructor
During her many years of practice as a massage therapist, Cate has promoted body awareness and exercise as being essential to a person’s well being. Taking her experience to a new level, she studied under Margot McKinnon at Body Harmonics in Toronto, completing Pilates mat and reformer certifications, as well as movement and exercise specializations in biomechanics, rehabilitation and Pilates for older adults. She is currently working towards an athletic specialist certification to help improve performance and technique for specific sports.
As a Pilates teacher, Cate’s goal is to increase ease of movement in every day function, improve posture and balance, enhance performance in sport specific activities, and rehabilitate injuries, while still having some fun. Pilates based movement and exercise works well in combination with other therapeutic approaches.
From personal experience, Cate knows how it works; it helps her maintain an active lifestyle as an avid runner, cyclist, cross country skier, and canoeist.
